The Library room provides the perfect setting
for
rehearsal dinners, business meetings, and
special large family occasions.

Where
did we get our name?
Our name comes from the works of
a local poet, Robert Frost. The words seem to inspire the fire for cooking and the
ice for cold refreshment. |

FIRE
AND ICE
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favour fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

| Robert Frost
loved to walk the streets of Middlebury, and undoubtedly passed our place many times, on
his way, perhaps, to the covered bridge over the Otter Creek. Could ever he have
imagined the old railroad house becoming a landmark restaurant with a library room
containing some of his works? |
